Byron Bay-born fashion label Auguste expanded beyond the sandy shores of the bay to open a brand-new on James Street at the tail end of 2018. Founded by Australian designer Ebony Eagles, Auguste was conceptualised to evoke a free-spirited nature, with wearable pieces imbued with a sense of sun-drenched days and youthful abandon. From the fabrics of the wares to the packaging, the label aims to adhere to a strict environmentally sustainable and ethical process. Auguste’s James Street boutique is an airy and comfortable space, nestled amongst the thriving promenade but acting as an oasis for shoppers looking to browse leisurely. The racks are stocked with vintage-inspired florals and elegant silhouettes across a selection of dresses, tops, skirts, playsuits, accessories and more. The label’s beloved line of children’s clothing, Little Auguste, is also stocked in store.
