Joining our city’s flourishing ranks of pastry specialists is Aroma Bakery & Cafe, a Clui Design-envisioned grey-and-green-hued patisserie and coffee spot now open on Old Cleveland Road in Carina. Aroma is looking to elevate the standard of baked goods available in the area with a menu of flaky treats made from scratch in house. In addition to the classic croissant – which is made at Aroma over an extensive three-day process – the bakery also specialises in the likes of cronuts and cruffins, while a selection of savoury options like sandwiches, paninis and focaccia also featuring. On the caffeine front, Melbourne specialty roaster Zest Coffee has brought its beans north, giving guests the chance to pair a primo pastry with an energising brew.
