If you quickly stroll past the bakery section of your local supermarkets as a means to avoid loading up your basket with sweet treats, then you might of missed the memo that it's hot cross bun season. These babies start lining the shelves pretty much as soon as the presents are unwrapped under the Christmas tree, which means we get at least four months of devouring our favourite Easter treat. To keep things fresh each season, the team at Coles like to whip up different variations of hot cross buns. This year, they have gone slightly left of field and have created a hot cross bun made using the Special Burger Sauce – and you could say we are at a loss for words.
