Sitting beside the green of the Tally Valley Golf Course, Wok It in Elanora offers lush views and an authentic Thai dining experience. After a running a successful Thai restaurant in the Hunter Valley, owner Kithima Carmiggelt felt the coast calling and decided to bring her tried-and-tested family recipes up the trail. Residing inside a former shed – which has been given a cosily rustic fit-out and a new lease on life – the restaurant is a laid-back and relaxed family-friendly spot to enjoy dinner. Cooked fresh from the wok, the massaman curry with tender beef in a homemade curry sauce, topped with cashew nuts and sweet potato chips makes for a flavourful and filling meal. Another menu pick that you can’t go past is the homemade roasted duck red curry, offset by cherry tomato, sweet lychee, pineapple and Thai basil.
