Wallaby Hotel

Following a massive 2.3-million renovation, Mudgeeraba’s much-loved Wallaby Hotel has officially reopened. Established in 1883, the Wallaby has long been a favourite amongst coast locals thanks to its delicious pub fare, killer live entertainment and ice-cold bevvies served with a smile. The extensive renovation has seen the breathtaking heritage features of the historic pub restored, including the reinstatement of the original XXXX sign on the roof of the venue. Other parts of the watering hole that have been revamped include the outdoor deck (the perfect place to blow the froth off a cold one in the sunshine), the kids play area and gaming room (sure to entertain the little ones for hours), the public bar and the bistro. The drinking and dining destination has also upped the entertainment factor, with eight big screens installed across the pub for sports lovers and a refreshed stage area to allow for more space for gigs – live music is the heart and soul of the venue, after all.

Now let’s talk bites. The Wallaby’s menu has undergone a huge makeover – don’t worry though, your favourite tastebud-tempting pub meals still make an appearance! Pair your beer with a selection of mouth-watering starters like cheeseburger spring rolls and southern-fried chicken wings before moving on to the mains. Hungry folk can satiate their cravings with the Wallaby Schnitzel topped with pulled pork, Bundy barbecue sauce, cheese and fried-chicken wings or The Wallaby Bob Burger (a nod to the previous owner, the late Wallaby Bob) – a beef patty with beetroot, pineapple, cheese, tomato, onion, pickles and aioli on a soft bun.

The newly renovated Wallaby Hotel is now open. To celebrate the new fit-out, Wallaby Hotel is throwing a grand opening party on Saturday November 28. For more details, head here.
