Perched on level 21 of RACV Royal Pines Resort, Videre Restaurant is one of the Gold Coast’s true fine dining institutions. Soak in the picture-perfect views of the surrounding hinterland by day and the twinkling lights of the city skyline by night as you peruse the seasonal menu, which offers a choice of a la carte dining or a degustation selection with matched wines. Not to be outdone by the view, the fare is modern and elegant, a philosophy which flows through to the restaurant’s refined decor. Start with an entree of Fraser Coast spanner crab or pressed confit pork belly before moving on to a perfectly pink beef fillet with sea urchin butter, braised turnips and black fungi. The set menu offers two courses for $49 or three for $59 but if you’re really keen for the true Videre experience, opt for the tasting menu for $90 or $145 with matching wines. As you might expect, the cellar selection offers an extensive range of premium drops from Australia and abroad alongside cocktails and top-shelf spirits. Videre also hosts an indulgent high tea on weekends. Enjoy freshly baked scones, macarons, pastries and gourmet sandwiches with either espresso coffee or loose-leaf tea.
