The Skyline Restaurant
If you’re after a weekend lunch with some of the best views in town, sometimes it pays to look beyond the beach. The Skyline Restaurant at the Gold Coast Turf Club & Events Centre is certainly not just for the race goers – the impressive elevated dining space is open to the public every Saturday for a delicious and refined multi-course lunch. The menu, which will rotate seasonally, will feature an amuse-bouche selection on arrival, before moving onto entrees like crab terrine with avocado puree, wilted spinach, cedar-smoked salmon, pomegranate reduction and olive-oil caviar. A vibrant series of mains are on offer, from crispy-skin barramundi atop a minted-pea and asparagus risotto, through to 13-hour slow-roasted waygu beef cheeks (yes, this will be a melt-in-your-mouth moment) with truffle and parmesan-infused white polenta, crumbed parsnip, roasted purple carrots and salsa verde. To finish? Think petite fours and an ensemble of aged cheese with Spanish quince paste. The Skyline Restaurant certainly lives up to its name, boasting striking views over the race track toward the sun-kissed Gold Coast skyline.
Please note: The Skyline Restaurant is open from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm every Saturday, subject to racedays. Feel free to contact the venue for more information.
