The Sandwich Bros

If your work lunch is looking a little on the sad side, ditch it and make haste to The Sandwich Bros in Surfers Paradise and wrap your mitts around a fat stack of deliciousness (looking at you, beef brisket grilled cheese). Positioned down the business end, across from Milky Lane, the venue is a collaborative effort between a few brothers and mates who are passionate about sandwiches and good, no nonsense food. The gents are all about the not-so-humble sambo and offer a constantly changing menu of mouthwatering morsels including burgers, salads, sweet treats as well as grab-and-go options for when time is not on your side. The Dirty South toasted sandwich, which is loaded with slow-cooked chicken, caramelised onions, gruyere cheese and house-made southern sauce, is definitely a crowd favourite as are the pies and sausage rolls that are made the old-fashioned way – i.e. full of actual meat and veg. The new vegan menu is also gaining some serious traction with patrons who can’t get enough of the vegan fried chicken and vegan cheesecakes. The best part? On weekends all burgs (including the vegan ones) are just $10. The Sandwich Bros also dabble in breakfast with naughty-but-totally-worth-it chicken and waffles, brioche french toast and corn and haloumi fritters as well as the occasional themed dinner with a DJ. For any upcoming special nights, keep an eye on The Sandwich Bros Facebook.
