The Little Baker

If you like the idea of uncomplicated homestyle nosh that is full of flavour, The Little Baker in Mudgeeraba is your place. Previously Two Little Bakers, the venue was taken over by Brendan and Sharon Lewer earlier this year and has moved away from specialising in sugar-laden sweets to focus more on food and coffee however there are still a few tempting treats to take your fancy. In a hurry? Grab something tasty from the display cabinet to go but if you have some time, take a seat in the gorgeous leafy courtyard and catch up over a caffeinated beverage. The new winter menu, which is expected to drop in coming weeks, caters to the all-day brunch crowd and is filled with classic cockle-warming dishes including granola with seasonal fruit, homemade beans and poached eggs, fluffy omelettes and build-your-own breakfasts. At The Little Baker, the plates aren’t loaded with over-the-top garnishes or edible flowers, instead you can expect good, honest dishes that are filled with flavour and feature locally sourced produce. The best part? With every dish coming in well under $20, The Little Baker offers a friendly local breakfast option that won’t break the bank. The brews are by Melbourne’s Veneziano Coffee Roasters and offers an intense creamy body with hints of dark chocolate, almonds and caramel. The hardest part will be trying to stop at one.
