The Galleon 4223
Every suburb has its hidden local gems and The Galleon 4223 is undoubtedly one of Currumbin’s. Nestled in between a general store and a hairdresser, the neighbourhood cafe is the kind of place where you’re greeted by name and coffee order. The menu delivers cafe fare with a South American twist – think breakfast burritos, chorizo omelette and Spanish-style steak sandwich, which is sided with owner Frank’s signature Pebre salsa to give it a little extra zing. The Galleon 4223 offers a handful of tables inside but it’s also not uncommon for locals to linger in the carpark and have a chat as they sip their morning coffee. Speaking of, the coffee is by Byron Bay Coffee Company. For those who prefer their outings after dark, The Galleon 4223 has just extended into evening trade on Friday and Saturday nights.
