The Cuban

Whisk away to the Caribbean for an evening with exotic rum-based cocktails and flavourful fare at The Cuban bar and lounge dining in Broadbeach. Inspired by the sights, sounds and tastes of Cuba, the venue offers a fun party vibe, inspired by its namesake’s reputation as the party capital, which harks back to the American prohibition when the rich and famous would travel to Cuba to get a little crazy. If you’ve never experienced Cuban cuisine, you’re in for a real treat. As the first Spanish colony in the Caribbean, Cuban food and culture is rich with Spanish influence with strong African tastes, a touch of the French from Haiti, a little Italian and even some Chinese traits. This diverse mix of cultures results in vibrant flavours with distinctive seasoning and spice. Think paella loaded with chicken, chorizo, prawns and calamari, char-grilled chicken marinated in a zesty mojo sauce and slow-cooked pork belly with a honey chilli glaze and just a touch of apple and cinnamon. Pair with a couple of Cuba Libre cocktails and you have yourself all of the ingredients for a mighty fine feast.
