The Bombay Cricketers’ Club

The Bombay Cricketers’ Club is the latest notch in the belt of PLB Group, which also owns and operates Osteria in Casuarina, Taverna in Kingscliff and the soon-to-open Ancora in Tweed Heads. The menu, which has been curated at the hands of chef Lia Wilson alongside Ved Navghare, the former head chef of Melbourne’s esteemed Tonka,  delivers a fresh take on the mouthwatering flavours and spices found in the Indian subcontinent. While there are familiar flavours like tandoori and vindaloo, the menu turns Indian cuisine as we know it on its head. You’ll find dishes like half-duck korma with toasted coconut, cashews and poppy seeds, punjabi prawn lettuce cups with a cucumber and coconut salad, and crispy pork with mint, green mango, fried onion and betel leaves. Don’t leave without trying the Not Butter Chicken, prepared with local tomatoes, a dash of smoked cream and coriander.
