The Allotment Cafe


The Allotment is not your typical cafe. In the kitchen you’ll find owner and ex-The Langham Melbourne chef Simon Capewell working his magic on a delicious breakfast and lunch menu, which rotates weekly. For breakfast think Middle Eastern eggs with sumac, hummus and flat bread, and Boston beans with a fried egg – while at lunchtime you can expect eats like a classic sourdough Reuben sandwich or a beef-brisket croissant with slaw, kimchi and Japanese mayonnaise. Leaf & Berry beans from Melbourne’s Seven Miles roasting house are pouring, which can be accompanied by an almond croissant or a decadent brownie served intricately with chocolate soil.
