Tamborine Mountain Gelato Co

Owned by pastry chef Bec Leitner and Alick Kilsby, Tamborine Mountain Gelato Co first opened its doors on Tamborine Mountain’s Main Street in December 2022. The frozen dessert dispensary dishes out small-batch artisan gelato that’s made using local and seasonal ingredients, with Alick and Bec sharing a passion for good food that supports local growers, producers and makers. The gelato is made authentically in house with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives – so you can feel a bit better about leaving room for dessert! Everything is made from scratch right down to the sauces, jams, cookies and brownies that go into the gelato. Tamborine Mountain Gelato Co serves its gelato from a traditional pozzetti gelato cabinet ensuring that they can keep their gelato as natural and fresh as possible. Inside this cabinet is a range of delectable gelato flavours that change weekly – though a selection of regular favourites make their return each week. Popular flavours that have made the rounds include the likes of chocolate brownie, red-plum sorbet, grape sorbet, orange custard and garden-mint stracciatella.
