Taboo Tiki

Taboo Tiki is a hidden laneway bar on Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise, from the same owners of Aloha Bar & Dining. Its fun and moody interior is dripping in eye-catching hand-painted creations by artist Le Grizz. Booths and seating nooks are dotted throughout, but no matter where you park yourself, Taboo’s hanging tiki heads will be keeping watch as you sip. Taboo Tiki specialises in rum, and also serves a series of rum-based tropical-style cocktails. You’ll also find beers on tap and a selection of other spirits on pour, including small-batch Australian gins. Hot tip:  it’s nestled in the laneway after House of Brews and Hollywood – look out for the festoon lights and neon tiki-head sign.
