SouvGC

SouvGC is here to spread joy one souvlaki at a time. Loosely described as Greek with a Melbourne-style twist, the menu caters to those who prefer to order a bunch of small plates and graze, as well as those who each order a serve of saganaki for themselves because sometimes sharing isn’t caring. Smaller plates include flash-fried calamari, char-grilled octopus and a mouth-watering array of house-made dips including tzatziki, taramasalata, hummus and tirokafteri (spicy fetta). Move on to char-grilled skewers or skip straight to the venue’s specialty – souvlaki stuffed with your choice of protein (lamb, chicken or falafel), fat chips and slathered with housemade tzatziki. The open plates are perfect for those who are feeding a tribe, and if you’re not keen on dining in, there’s a dedicated section for takeaway. Having only been open a month, the drinks list and bar is still evolving, but for now, diners will find a succinct selection of wines from small-batch producers, alongside a couple of Greek beers.
