Shuck
Specialising in seafood in particular oysters, after which the venue is named, Shuck Restaurant and Bar is a favourite with the Friday afternoon locals. Drawn into the Shuck corner bar located on bustling Tedder Avenue, locals and visitors relax with an ale or a vino accompanied by a couple of the share plates from the sea. The oyster selection is broad and with quotes from Ernest Hemingway about the ‘succulent texture’ and ‘faint metallic taste’ inspiring the menu, they are hard to bypass. Moving onto the restaurant some indulge in the signature dish of crab lasagne, or peking duck salad or house fish ‘n’ chips might be more to your liking. And if you can squeeze it in there is a fantastic dessert menu awaiting your selection.
