Salt Cafe Bar


If haloumi by morning and sauvignon blanc by midday is your jam, then you’d best check out the new kid on The Brickworks block – Salt. The new Salt cafe occupies the former and long-standing Flavours@Ferry premises, which Brisbane restauratuers Mario Perna and Carlos Marin took over six months ago. The duo, who have owned Salt Restaurant in Paddington for nine years, continued to operate the cafe until they began works to transform the space into an entirely new venue. The all-new 100-seat cafe also features an additional alfresco dining area and beer garden, which is due to open in coming weeks, adding a further 100 seats. There’s a mix of intimate seating and long tables to seat ten or more – designed for relaxing long lunches over a glass of bubbles.
