Red Steakhouse & Bar

Red Steakhouse & Bar, perched on the edge of Masthead Way in The Marine Village at Sanctuary Cove, is a modern steakhouse that is taking things back to the dining days of old with nostalgic throwbacks and good old-fashioned service. Hot tip, start with a selection of hot or cold oysters as you take in the insatiable view of the superyachts bobbing in the marina over a glass of champagne. The extensive menu meanders from entrees such as tender fried calamari and pan-roasted scallops through to mains including a popular wagyu wellington, handmade linguine with local trawler prawns and pillowy gnocchi. As you may have guessed, steak is the hero here with its selection categorised by cut, marble score and grass fed versus grain fed. Head chef Luke Reeves has incorporated a couple of lesser-known cuts including bavette and rostbiff alongside crowd favourites such as a carved flat iron and sirloin. Meat-free mates aren’t forgotten, with the restaurant offering an entirely separate menu of vegetarian and vegan options. Accompanying the fare is a seriously impressive selection of wine, which is also available by the glass thanks to its Enomatic wine dispensing system. There’s also a mighty tempting array of cocktails with an entire section dedicated to martinis – French martini, anyone?
