In July, Pepe Italia closed its Burleigh edition and started working on some exciting changes for its Palm Beach location. The result is a full rebrand, with Pepe Italia relaunching as The Deli by Pepe Italia. Described as ‘same same, but different’, the refresh was undertaken to better suit the restaurant’s mission to bring people together over traditional homemade Italian food. The refreshed deli-restaurant continues to showcase quality authentic Italian ingredients and recipes, including antipasti, traditional woodfired pizzas and handmade pastas, that are sure to tantalise taste buds. The Byron Bay burrata is a must-try, while the spaghetti carbonara with eggs, pancetta, pecorino romano and black pepper and the parma pizza with san marzano tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, rocket and parmigiano reggiano are also top of our list. On the deli side, grab-and-go customers can nab everything they need for the perfect charcuterie platter like cured meats, local cheeses, handmade sweet treats, and take-home packs of Pepé’s popular fresh pastas and house-made sauces. You can even get your mitts on a DIY pizza pack to take home! There’s coffee pouring for those that like a fix later in the day (just like the Italians), which pairs perfectly with the fresh-made cannoli and tiramisu.
