Pancake Diner

Pancakes, burgers, hot dogs, waffles, crepes, all-day breakfasts – all by the seaside. The newly opened Pancake Diner is a dream … and it’s the latest addition to The Strand precinct in the heart of Coolangatta. The 120-seat eatery is located on the second floor, which means no matter where you sit, you’ll have uninterrupted beach views over beautiful Cooly through the floor-to-ceiling glass – that is if you can manage to take breath (just a quick one) in between bites of delicious buttermilk pancakes to enjoy the view. Owner Glen Day, a 30-year hospitality veteran, created the Pancake Diner concept to deliver quality, hearty food that people enjoy – like pancakes, burgers and hot dogs – in a vibrant, old-school diner setting. You’ll sit in white and red leather booths, reach for your American-style condiments in rad little rad steel tool caddy, and have the pleasure of watching old-time flicks like Betty Boop screening on the wall.
