For those who have been on the ramen bandwagon for a while, you’re probably well familiar with the Gold Coast’s OG Muso Ramen Noodle and Gyoza Bar in Mermaid Beach but what you may not know is that they have a sibling venue in The Kitchens at Robina Town Centre. Owner and ramen master Akira Tagaki has replicated his recipe for success with a similar menu, just simplified slightly for its shopping centre environ. If you’re a ramen rookie, Muso is an excellent place to start because Akira aims to please all tastes by balancing tradition with modern flavours. First things first, decide between a chicken or pork broth base, then choose your flavour (the Paitain chicken is a popular choice) and finally choose between thick or thin noodles. The noodles are made fresh onsite using a specially imported noodle machine from Japan, testament to the venue’s authenticity. Alongside ramen, Muso dishes up delicious gyoza, crispy karaage and spicy chicken wings.
