Muso Ramen & Gyoza Bar is the Gold Coast’s OG ramen joint. In June 2018 the Mermaid Beach ramen bar underwent an expansion creating a hip new fit-out. Owner and ramen master Akira Tagaki aims to please all tastes by meticulously balancing tradition with modern flavours, dispensing rich tonkotsu and chicken ramen, as well as glorious gyoza, crispy karaage and a rotating range of tapas. You’ll also find a series if hard-to-find sakes, umeshu (plum wine) and Japanese beers to wash it all down with. This is a popular local hang – it’s totally worth the wait.
