Morsels at Mudgeeraba
Don’t be fooled by its assuming location, Morsels at Mudgeeraba is not your run-of-the-mill suburban restaurant. Think charcuterie boards loaded with miscellaneous cured meats, oysters battered in Stone & Wood, champagne-soaked mussels and lamb shoulder that is slow cooked to absolute perfection and you’re probably starting to get an idea of what Morsels is all about. The varied menu offers tastes from around the world with tapas plates to share (or not share, we won’t judge), as well as some more substantial dishes including buttermilk chicken and wagyu rump. While you’re attempting to come to some kind of decision on what to order, allow resident mixologist Carlos to create something spectacular from behind the bar. If you can handle a little heat, the coriander and chilli martini is guaranteed to light a fire in your belly. The friendly neighbourhood-style venue is the work of long-time locals Faye and Gerard O’Flynn who have been watching the area evolve for 30 years before jumping feet first to the hospitality game earlier this year. Morsels has live music every Friday and Saturday night as well as open mic nights so if you’re in the mood for some sweet vibes and some seriously top-notch food, Morsels at Mudgeeraba is your place.
