Lupo is the latest venue from father and son duo Brad and Harry Pearce, former owners of establishment Espana and Franc’s Wine Bar & Deli in Broadbeach. It’s a quaint eating house in the centre of Mermaid Beach, complete with an open-fire oven and a pretty rad horseshoe-shaped bar. The venue’s 50 seats are spread across the dining room and a copper-topped horseshoe-shaped bar. The kitchen and open fire is in full view – so, you’ll well and truly see the magic happen. The menu, which offers a true share-food experience, is fairly fluid – so expect it to change weekly. Whatever is in season, and whatever produce is flourishing at the local Cudgen farm, is what you’ll find on your plate. The bar’s cellar list takes a shine to low-intervention Australian and European wines, which sits alongside a tight list of cocktails.
