Like culinary nomads, Los Santos is all about kitchen takeovers having previously popped up in bars, surf clubs, festivals, a bakery as well as private functions and backyards. For now, it resides on level one of Currumbin Pub on Traders Way however there will be new locations unveiled in the new year so keep your peepers peeped. On offer is a seriously mouthwatering menu bursting with Latin-Mexican flavours that will awaken the senses, think soft corn tacos, flamed nachos, taquitos loaded with oozy melted cheese and zesty homemade jalapeno salsas. If you’re feeling a little (a lot) naughty, opt for the chimichanga, which looks a little bit like a mummified burrito and tastes like a deep-fried parcel of happiness. Just do yourself a favour and make sure you leave room for the chocolate chimichanga topped with ice-cream and fruits, you can thank us later. Each dish is made from scratch and can be made vegan or vegetarian with plenty of gluten-free options. The vibe on the deck is as chilled as the beer so if you’re into tasty bites, beer and banter, check out Los Santos.
