If the thought of tucking into Insta-worthy Nutella waffles, acai bowls bursting with all the colours of the rainbow and mountains of crispy bacon perched atop perfectly poached eggs has piqued your interest, head to Local & Co. in Main Beach. Whilst it might be the new kid on the block, it’s the latest venture from Marco De Vincentiis, co-owner of Cicchetti Gold Coast, and Sam Mustafa, who ran the Blu Grotto for six years back in its heyday, so it’s no newbie to the restaurant game. The casual eatery has grand plans to reinvigorate the foodie precinct with all-day breakfast, Social Espresso coffee and chilled vibes. The people-pleasing menu has been crafted by Fernanda Otelinger (previously from MLK) and Matthew Cashmere (previously Raw Kitchen & Espresso) and takes you from breakfast through to late afternoon sugar cravings. There are plans to extend into evening trade so watch this space.
