Little Vine Room

Little Vine Room is a quaint neighbourhood wine bar slinging build-your-own charcuterie boards, toasties and tipples. Nestled in the same complex as Zipang Japanese and Stoked Wood Fire Pizza, this spunky newcomer is the kind of place you can pop in on a whim for a pre-dinner wine, enjoy a relaxed snack or two, or settle in for a solid catch-up with mates. The quaint 30-seater is intentionally small and intimate, with a handful of stools scattered inside as well as a couple of settings outside. As for the wine, LVR offers a succinct selection that features predominantly Australian drops with a couple of international cameos including a prosecco from Italy and champagne from France. Those with a penchant for new-wave wines can sip a punchy Gilbert Rose pet nat, while the Nick Spencer chilled red offers a delightfully light flavour profile. You needn’t boast extensive wine knowledge, as the staff are only too happy to help recommend something based on your tastes. Although LVR is first and foremost a wine bar, the cocktail list deserves a quiz. It’s been curated by local flavour wizard Breeana Erica, who you might recognise if you’ve spent any time sipping at Burleigh’s NAÂMi or Lucia Tapas in Tugun. Bree has a gift for creating perfectly balanced and interesting libations such as a red-wine float atop a bloody Mary and, our personal fave, Your Old Flame with 1800 coconut tequila, SOFI Aperitivo, fresh lime juice and house-made chilli syrup. It isn’t just delightful drams that will lure you to Little Vine Room, the nosh is equally as impressive with a mouth-watering selection of toasties and jaffles including The Bourdain (mortadella, mustard, mayo, provolone and mozzarella) and The Drunken Fun-gi (mixed mushroom sauteed in Champagne with cheesy bechamel finished with Parmigiano Reggiano). As the sun sets, the menu expands to include a selection of small bites and a build-your-own cheese and charcuterie plate.
