Levendis souvlaki & mezzebar


Having spent the last three years quelling the cravings of Miami Marketta’s souvlaki loving populace, Kosta Rotos has branched out to open Levendis souvlaki & mezzebar at Chevron Renaissance. The new eatery offers a slightly more expanded mezze menu than its market counterpart and features plates of grilled halloumi, lightly fried calamari and the venue’s specialty sheftalia (char-grilled Cypriot meanballs) alongside souvlakis and mixed plates. Whatever you do, save some room for a serve of loukoumades (honey-glazed Greek doughnuts). In true Greek-style, the meat is all slow-cooked over charcoal to give it that irresistible charred flavour and rather than meat of questionable origin, Kosta uses lamb shoulder and thigh fillets. Constructed from blue shipping container doors, the space itself provides a welcoming environ to relax with friends and embrace the Greek tradition of breaking bread.
