If there’s one thing we Gold Coasters love, it’s sips with a seascape. If you too enjoy your brew with a view, get excited for Kurrawa Beach Club. The brand-new beach club is rolling out the welcome mat from now until January 30 as part of an eagerly anticipated trial. Bookings are now open for the VIP cabanas day beds and casual dining areas, so you can kick back and enjoy the waves roll in. The onsite container kitchen will be slinging a summer-inspired menu of snacks – think prawn and Moreton Bay bug rolls with Kewpie, skin-on fries and crisp fried halloumi with watermelon, balsamic and lemon balm. Meanwhile, the bar is brimming with a line-up of homegrown tipples including Granddad Jacks, Black Hops Brewing and Hard Fizz. Sunday sessions for the foreseeable future are sorted with Sunday Brunch, where guests can enjoy two drinks and little something from the container kitchen for $40. Families are welcome, with a kids play area, a dedicated menu and free face painting from midday every Sunday forming part of the all-ages offering. Kurrawa Beach Club will also showcase the best local musicians and DJs with live tunes from Thursday through to Sunday.
