If you live for specialty coffee (like Sydney’s Gabriel Coffee) and appreciate a well-made brew, then you need to visit Kennedys. Now, while coffee is king here, the food is just as important, serving a concise all-day menu that puts a refined spin on cafe fare as we know it. Dishes such as the breakfast bruschetta (pictured) made with heirloom tomatoes, chunky pesto slathered on toasted sourdough, topped with two poached eggs, crisp prosciutto and a scattering of basil grace the menu alongside some breakfast favourites such as the Hapi Hawker, which is the cafe’s popular take on a bacon and egg roll that utilises a roti paratha instead of a bun. There’s a drool-inducing selection of gourmet sandwiches in the cabinet alongside a clutch of gourmet cheese and cured meats for those who are keen to level up their at-home grazing boards. Just be sure to leave room for a little something sweet to finish – the irresistible pastries, cookies and tarts are baked fresh in-house daily.

Friendly reminder – don’t forget daylight savings!
