Happy Endings

Happy Endings is a cheeky nod to the rather infamous massage parlour that formerly resided within the space. To save you from an awkward chat with HR/your spouse/Google, head towards Fig & Frankie’s and up the staircase that’s signed Flesh Impressions piercing parlour. Follow the projection up the staircase and you’ll discover Happy Endings. While Bella and Euan Lovell’s first-born Fig & Frankie’s is light and bright, Happy Endings is quite the opposite – moody, dark and intimate. When it comes to the menu of beverages and bites, it’s loosely categorised as modern Asian, melding flavours to create unique and unexpected combinations. The Matcha Espresso, for example, combines matcha liqueur with matcha tea, clear coffee vodka and condensed milk, while the Tokyo Drift delivers a flavour-bomb of wasabi-infused mezcal, house-made melon liqueur and pineapple oleo. The clutch of tightly curated libations are rounded out by a selection of wines, Japanese beer, soju and sake. Peckish? Snack on a serve of lotus-root chips, kingfish sashimi or yakitori, while those with a more substantial appetite can stick their chopsticks into slices of wagyu tataki that’s flash seared on the hibachi grill and bathed in Thai-style Crying Tiger sauce. Happy Endings has been envisioned as a late-night venue, so the kitchen stays open until 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Online bookings are coming soon, but in the interim, jump over here and shoot them a DM to make a reservation.
