Granddad Jack’s is the Gold Coast’s first craft-gin and whisky distillery and taproom. The concept is the brainchild of father-and-son duo David and Luke Ridden, who named it after their grandfather and great grandfather. Armed with a mighty distiller on site, Granddad Jack’s will produce a range of craft gins to start, with whiskies to follow in late 2019. Those keen to try the boutique gins can do so in the taproom, which serves an array of cocktails from Wednesday to Sunday. The spirits are also bottled and available for purchase. Oh, and the Granddad Jack’s taproom is also BYO food – cheese board and negroni, anyone?
