Coffee-loving Varsity Lakes locals are likely well familiar with Fresh Coffee Bar, which has operated as a little hole-in-the-wall slinging amazing coffee since forever, but now the time has come for the venue to spread its wings to a huge street-fronting space complete with bar seating, meeting tables and a full spread of food options from pastries to hearty lunches and coconut smoothie bowls. The menu is filled with hearty options including spiced pulled-pork empanadas alongside healthy chicken and kale salad bowls, European pastries, toasted sandwiches, plus a cabinet full of raw treats and on-the-go snacks. If you’re hanging for payday, wrap your mitts around one of the $5 jaffles. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free friends are also well catered for. As for the drinks, they serve Gabriel coffee, fresh juices, smoothies and milkshakes. For now, Fresh Coffee Bar is Monday to Friday however there are plans to extend into Saturday trade.
