Dalas Kitchen

Dalas Kitchen was created to fill the void for fresh, healthy lunches that don’t cost the Earth. The light and bright new nook along the Gold Coast Highway in Nobby Beach dishes up a mouth-watering line-up of seven core salads that are meat-free and predominantly vegan-friendly, gluten-free and made using locally sourced produce. If you can handle a little heat, the Bangin’ Cauli (panko-crusted cauliflower, Asian slaw, mint, coriander, shallots, crushed peanuts, drizzled with creamy maple Sriracha dressing) has a spicy kick, while The Mexican (roasted sweet potato, red capsicum, black beans, white beans, chargrilled corn, coriander with a creamy citrus Mexican dressing), is best served with crushed corn chips. Wash it down with a slurp of homemade soda, and you can officially wave goodbye to sad desk lunches for good. Those with a bit of a sweet tooth may also be pleased to know that there is a selection of guilt-free treats made locally by Nic Dimond that promise to curb your 3:30 pm cravings without loading up on artificial sweeteners. Dalas Kitchen has teamed up with Seed The Ground (The Miami Compost Hub) in a bid to lighten the venue’s footprint, with food scraps used to create nutrient-dense soil. The venue’s packaging, labels and serving-ware are also, of course, compostable. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Dalas is salad backwards.
