Byron Bay’s acclaimed Italian restaurant, Cicchetti, has ventured north of the border to open its first Queensland-based restaurant at Capri On Via Roma, Isle of Capri. Head Chef, Enrico Semenzato, has evolved the award-winning menu retaining some signature dishes whilst creating a large number of new standout dishes. The house made beetroot ravioli and the signature entree, porchetta, which is made from thinly sliced, traditionally marinated Byron Bay pork shoulder roast complemented with ginger and capsicum jam and oven baked grissini stirati, are among the standouts. Cicchetti Gold Coast offers a modern take on traditional Italian fare and demonstrates the true art of culinary restraint allowing the beautiful and authentic flavours to shine through. For a causal bite, take a seat at the bar or for more formal affairs, the dining area beckons. Enjoy an intimate meal with your person, a banquet with friends or go all out and indulge in the venue’s five-course degustation.
