Coffee, bread, pastry, slow-cooked meats – seriously, what more do we need in life? Butcher Baker, located in a unique heritage-style space on Bangalow’s main drag, is inspired the artisan trades of butchery and baking. Owner Paul is a baker by trade (and also the son of a butcher, go figure) has incorporated an in-house bakery into the vibrant new venue, which means you’ll be greeted with everything from freshly baked sourdough to a seriously delicious spread of sweet treats. The kitchen serves up a full breakfast and lunch menu seven days, and on Friday and Saturday nights the doors stay open for a delicious dinner trade. The lunch and dinner menus feature dishes like the signature hot sandwiches, the Butcher’s Block cheese and meat platter, slow-roasted pork belly, Thai coconut beef ribs (drool), lamb ribs, crispy chicken wings, hearty burgers, plus a range of colourful plant-based sides. Wash it all down with a schooner of some of the region’s best craft brews.
