Having grown up in Munich, eating pretzels and German-style baked goods was part of Michelle Roth’s DNA. After moving to Australia and falling in love with everything the Gold Coast has to offer, Michelle searched high and low to find an authentic German bakery to get a little taste of her homeland, to no avail. Saddened but also inspired, Michelle decided to take matters into her own hands and opened Brezel. The authentic German bakery has found a home at Varsity Lakes and specialises in proper German pretzels, rye bread, spelt rolls, flaky pastries, cakes, and other such niceties. Hot tip, if you have your heart set on a pretzel, you best get there early as they fly out the door pretty quick.
