As you might have gathered by the name, Brewed Brewery is all about the beer. The amber goodness is dispensed via a purpose-built 10-metre-long keg room, which is connected to the bar via eye-catching overhead copper piping. There’s a shine to local beers (everybody’s here, from Balter to Black Hops and Tweed’s Pickled Pig) with a line-up of around 25 different craft brewers to rotate on the regular. The sips are accompanied by a diverse food menu that balances delicate eats like kingfish ceviche drizzled with lemon myrtle, with more beer-friendly dishes like finger-licking pork ribs with caramelised mandarin. You can keep things light with the puffed haloumi and watermelon with baby celery, fetta and red-wine-vinegar jelly or the wagyu tataki with truffle dashi and garlic miso. Or, if you’ve got a big gap to fill, get your fingers into the Southern fried chicken box with a side of charred corn and jalapeno aioli, before moving onto the whole barramundi with wombok, chilli and caramelised lychee or the satisfying giant black Angus OP rib on the bone.
