Designer surfboards boldly line the walls, artwork and clothing hang on display, and the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans wafts through the store. The second-oldest surf store in Queensland, Board Culture has everything a surfer needs: surfboard rentals, the latest clothing styles, skateboards and custom boards from brands like DHD, Harvest and McTavish. The Greenroom is the store’s ‘revolving arts space’, where local photographers showcase their stunning artworks and Fit Yoga classes are held nine times a week, with a free session on Saturday mornings. Board Culture is an awesome hangout where local surfers love to sink into the store’s vintage couches, flick through some surfing mags and blissfully enjoy a coffee and a toastie.
