Be Somewhere

Housed in the old Urbanistar and Ruby + Green in Burleigh Heads, Be Somewhere is a light and bright cafe that is what you might call a people pleaser in that there is something for everyone. The menu ranges from the ridiculously healthy Ultra Clean Bowl, which is filled with broccoli, cauliflower, beans, zucchini, shitake mushrooms, mixed sprout, avocado, radish, dukkah and Asian-style dressing with miso paste, through to the slightly-naughty-but-totally-delicious potato rosti with wilted spinach, fetta and poached eggs with your choice of mushrooms, crispy bacon or locally smoked salmon. For lunch, it’s pretty hard to go past one of the eye-popping charcoal brioche burgers. Wash it down with a cold-pressed juice, smoothie or a brew from Brisbane’s Bare Bones Specialty Coffee. Owners Ben Engwirda and Yuri Kagita, who both happen to be personal trainers in their spare time, have taken their passion for produce and translated it into a tasty menu that is healthy, affordable and delicious. Ben can usually found manning the kitchen whilst Yuri takes care of the front-of-house and bakes the mouthwatering goodies in the cabinet (looking at you, gluten-free chocolate and raspberry brownie). Ben and Yuri have big plans for the little cafe so keep your peepers peeled.
