Located in the heart of Broadbeach, Base Espresso is a place where coffee has taken a distinctive new turn. Base delivers a type of coffee that is different the standard cup of joe. The way the coffee is roasted gives it a unique fruity taste, adding a fresh new edge to coffee as we know it. After taking out the Golden Bean Roasters competition in 2014, Base has emerged as a specialist in the coffee industry, continuing to experiment with new ways to deliver a high-quality caffeine hit. Latte art, pour over and cold-drip coffee are all features of the cafe, filling the cafe with a range of rich aromas. All baristas are trained at Base’s coffee education program in Mount Tamborine, with additional education programs often being run for charity. Base uses fresh Uncle Joe’s coffee beans, which is roasted locally, whilst also sourcing organic food and wine from other local outlets.
