Balthazar Wine & Dining, named after a 12-litre bottle of wine, offers the ultimate private degustation experience alongside a more casual tapas-style of dining in the heart of Surfers Paradise. On the degustation menu you’ll find dishes like oyster mushroom cappuccino with truffle biscotti, smoked duck with picked strawberries, toasted brioche and roasted pear, and pan-seared Moreton Bay bugs with tom yum reduction and banana date chutney. The intricate tapas menu is served daily including dishes like baked camembert wrapped in pancetta with chilli pear jam, crispy pork belly with spiced apple compote and balsamic, and pan-fried scallops with pea puree and truffle. With 600 wines on the menu, we’re sure the in-house sommelier will have more than one to match.
