Though the Balboa Italian owners Eddie and Cherie Uzan have known this for a while – they also own and operate Avvia Cafe & Restaurant just a stone’s throw south from the all-new eatery. Let’s just say we’re pretty excited that the duo have decided to leave an Italian footprint on the beachside suburb. Balboa’s interior is pretty remarkable – the space, which seats 120 diners including a 14-seat private dining room, oozes rustic charm with just a hint of modern Italian flair. The Balboa food, cocktail and international wine menus mirror the appeal of the fit-out, with authentic woodfired pizza and handmade pasta the real standouts.
