Tucked away on Karen Avenue in Mermaid Beach, ArTHaus Projects quietly sprung to life late last year as a ridiculously cool events space/wedding venue/pop-up gallery/live music venue. The shed, once a dilapidated old mechanic, has been transformed under the vision of its super passionate owner Tara Hogan, who is 100-percent committed to a philosophy of reduce, reuse and recycle. In fact, the eco-conscious venue is so dedicated to the cause that single-use cups are shunned and people are asked to bring their own reusable ones. Every little detail, from the antique furniture right down to the hand sewn 50-year old curtains, has been hand picked by Tara to bring you a space that is unlike anything else on the coast.
