Arlo’s Pizzeria

‘Healthy’ and ‘pizza’ are two words that are seldom found together but Arlo’s Pizzeria on Chevron Island is doing its darndest to change that with its mouthwatering array of sourdough pizzas. Similarly to an artisan bakery, the venue’s bases are made from a naturally living yeast, which is easier to digest than commercially produced counterparts, resulting in a much lighter, healthier pizza pie that won’t make you want to fall into a food coma after eating it. The flavours on offer range from traditional Italian to modern with an Australian twist. The casual eatery is the work of Jo-Anne and Paul Ramunno and is primarily a takeaway place but there are a couple of seats if you’d prefer to eat in, just be sure to pick up a bottle of wine before you arrive because it’s BYO.
