Find and make your next handmade treasure with Thrown Pottery
Those who have ventured to The Village Markets in Burleigh may have caught their eye on the lovingly made ceramics on display at Thrown Pottery’s jam-packed stall. The Gold Coast business is brimming with treasures that will liven up any abode and now you have the chance to get creative with clay at Thrown Pottery’s brand-new range of workshops.
Thrown Pottery is the handiwork of graphic-designer-turned-expert-ceramicist Louise Hargreaves. Louise has called the Gold Coast home for a decade and it’s here where she committed to all things clay, and started selling her wares at The Village Markets (TVM) in Burleigh. Homewares lovers can shop from a gorgeous selection of Thrown Pottery ceramics at both TVM and online – think vases, trinkets, incense holders, soap dishes, keep cups and much more. You can also find Thrown Pottery ceramics at wholesale locations across the coast including Three Balls Red, Town Folk and Wylde | Jean.
This year, Louise is sharing her passion for ceramics through another vessel – hands-on workshops! The first-ever Thrown Pottery workshop was held at Sun House Studio in Burleigh Heads this February, and it saw a community of creative-minded people get their hands dirty making vases. The next workshop, where you can make your own rustic salad bowl glazed in colours of your choice, will be happening on Thursday March 23. Tickets are available now at the Thrown Pottery website. Get yours ASAP as this one looks to sell out!
