Explore timeless beauty with jewellery from Currumbin Valley’s Ribs & Dust

There are two types of jewellery – the fashion-accessory type, and the heirlooms. You know, the pieces that are passed down from generation to generation. In a wild world of mass-produced jewellery and accessories, it’s brands like Ribs & Dust that truly stand out. If you’re on the lookout for a timeless piece, the hand-crafted goodness from this Currumbin Valley-based jeweller could be just what you’re after.

Ribs & Dust was founded by local jeweller Simon Goodburn. It first started out as an on-the-side hobby project, which eventually grew into a full-time business. It all began when Simon was looking for an engagement ring for his wife, and he couldn’t find anything that inspired him. So, he decided to make one, and spent the next 12 months secretly learning the art of silver and gold-smithing, until he had made his wife the perfect ring to propose with. The rest, as they say, is history.

The Ribs & Dust magic is created from a studio in the beautiful Currumbin Valley, offering custom pieces as well as a core collection, which is available online. With a passion for pieces that are ‘perfectly imperfect’, Simon has created a series of rings, cuffs, collars and pendants that exude the inimitable aesthetic of hand-crafted style. The collection is raw and eclectic, with a contemporary spin. The combination of ancient traditions, natural textures and modern styles has formed the basis of a truly unique collection, ideal for those looking for a piece with a bit of timeless flair. Check out the Ribs & Dust range online, or get in touch to create some custom-made magic.
