Rose Madden and Vanessa Cave, aka the soul sisters behind Nine Lives Bazaar, have come a long way since the old days when they would get up at the crack of dawn to set up their market stall at The Village Markets in Burleigh Heads. The eclectic new retail space represents a giant leap forward for the ladies who began with a shared dream of creating clothes that they personally liked to wear. Fast forward a few years and Nine Lives Bazaar has built a loyal following of devotees who can’t get enough of the brand’s art deco-inspired mini dresses, feminine midi skirts and beautiful bohemian maxis.

Every piece that graces the racks of the new boutique is born right here on the Gold Coast and brought to life in a small sewing house in Bali. The intention is to create pieces that will outlive our generation and even the one after and the one after that. The ladies aren’t about following trends but rather looking to the past and bringing back a little 1970s love in the form of freedom, expression and good times.
