Sun, salt and surfboards – McTavish heads to town with a new Byron Bay outpost

Iconic surfboard shaper McTavish has opened a rad new outpost in the heart of Byron Bay, showcasing its dreamy collection of boards, clothing, accessories and more. Whether you’re a surfing fanatic or not, this striking new space is well worth a visit.

McTavish, founded by Bob McTavish, has been one of the region’s most well known (and loved) brands – and now, after 45 years in the Byron Bay area, the renowned family-owned business has finally expanded into the thick of the action by setting up shop in a glorious heritage cottage space on Fletcher Street.

The McTavish Outpost will stock a range of its handmade surfboards, as well as McTavish-branded clothing, surf and fashion accessories, gifts and ready-to-hang art prints. Plus, there’s also an exclusive range of surfboards available to hire. The space is also set to host a series of exhibitions down the track too – so keep your eyes peeled.

The McTavish Outpost is located at 29 Fletcher Street, Byron Bay. More information can be found on the website.
